Brandtable - a new way to order food
As NFC technology gains momentum, potentially being built-in to most mobile phones within the next year or two, we are going to see new ideas around the way in which people interact, and pay for items.
This concept, fresh out of the University of Sydney takes the technology and implements it in an unobtrusive and useful way for the user. By scanning brand logos at your table in a food court, you can then order your food straight from your mobile. Then, when your order is ready you simply get an alert to go and collect it. It’s a great little idea, and one that I would love to see developed further.
