Pepsi Social Vending Machine
I like it when brands try to mess with traditional conventions. I mean, vending machines have been the same for years. Put money in, press a button and hey presto! Out pops your drink. Well, not anymore. Pepsi have brought vending machines into the 21st Century in a big way.
By placing touch screens on new vending machine units, Pepsi have managed to socialize the experience in new ways. Not only can you buy a drink (in quite an intuitive way I might add). But you can send a drink to friend. By purchasing a drink for someone else, you are able to text them a code so they can come pick it up. When they turn up, they can view a pre-recorded video message from yourself. Magical. I hope more of this stuff catches on. Love it.
