Nike+ Launch Kinect Training

Today the internet has been buzzing with the latest info from E3, the worlds largest entertainment expo. What technical innovations will emerge from the show floor this year? Well, perhaps the first comes from Nike. They have worked closely with Microsoft to create a Kinect-enabled Nike+ experience in your living room. You access yourself, log your workouts, earn Nike Fuel (their ‘virtual currency’) and challenge your friends and the wider community. Can Kinect deliver the premium experience Nike is renowned for? Hopefully, but we’ll know for sure later this year.

The worlds biggest individual marathon
Being a bit of a long distance runner, I was pleasantly surprised when I stumbled upon this new campaign from Sony Ericsson to promote their new Xperia Active handset. The Xperiathon is a one day racethat pits people virtually against each other in the worlds biggest individual marathon. Simply choose the app you are going to record it on, and turn up anywhere for the start of the race. It’s a nice use of technology to create an event that despite running alone, feels like you are running against others. I’ve entered, have you?
